The rooms are tiny yet impeccably clean, and of course containing about all the stuff a weary traveler needs. Also, expect the hotel-staff showing a level of hospitality you barely find in western lodgings located in a similar price-range.

Yup, Hotel Sunroute Shinbashi exactly delivers this. They may be a bit more modern, regarding the fact that your financial transactions (i.e.: paying the bill) are taken care by atm-like machines - but apart from that you won't find much to complain.

Rooms are about as big/small as any reasonable priced business hotel in Tokyo. Mine had a full vista of the Tokyo Tower (nice!) and also a small window between the shower and the main room (not sure why, but it made the room memorable). I also got vouchers for breakfast at a small restaurant located one store above street-level, offering a choice of two or three breakfast-menus - not anything special, but tasty and with a good cup of coffee).
